Law enforcement officers with the Tallahassee Police Department report that two people have been arrested and charged with the murder and kidnapping of a Havana man. The two individuals, a 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were reportedly taken into custody on December 13.
According to law enforcement authorities, the family of the 27-year-old victim contacted the TPD to report the man missing on December 12. They said that they had last seen him on December 9 in Havana and heard that he had stayed at the Budget Inn. The police checked the surveillance video from the hotel and saw the victim rent a room with a woman.
Later, the police saw the woman leading two other men to the room. She opened the door for the men and ran away. Police questioned her, and she admitted that she had a relationship with both the victim and the man accused of murdering him. She told the police that the suspect and another man had forcibly taken the victim to the car, transported him to a location near Interstate 10 and shot him multiple times. The police arrested her and the man and booked them into custody in the Leon County Detention Facility.
