A Florida man has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting and killing his parents and brother. The bodies of the victims were discovered on Jan. 25 in their Seminole County home.

According to media reports, the defendant, age 29, had recently been kicked out of the home he shared with his 59-year-old father, 61-year-old mother and 31-year-old brother. Apparently, he had stolen around $150,000 from his father and $50,000 from his brother to send to a Bulgarian woman he met on a porn website. He had also reportedly sold his brother’s guns without permission.

Authorities went to the residence after the brother didn’t show up for work at AdventHealth Orlando and a concerned co-worker called the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies went to the home, which is located on Sultan Circle in Chuluota, and found the bodies of the three victims inside. All three of them had been shot to death. The defendant was located at an Orlando hotel, and he agreed to go to the sheriff’s office for questioning. He admitted that he had been having problems with his family lately, but he denied playing any part in their deaths. He was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

Individuals facing murder or manslaughter charges could need the assistance of an Orlando, Florida, murder and violent charges attorney. The attorney could thoroughly investigate the case, challenge the prosecution’s evidence and work with the defendant to develop a solid defense against the charges. In some circumstances, it may be possible to get the charges dismissed. In others, legal counsel may recommend negotiating a plea deal that mitigates the most serious charges, which could significantly reduce the defendant’s sentence.
